We are happy to announce that we will be reopening the doors to the observatory on October 2nd!

Employing a cautious and scientific approach, Lake Afton Public Observatory is implementing a Covid-19 reopening plan that is aligned to the criteria established by the CDC and local governments. We are putting these measures in place in order to keep our guests and volunteers as safe as possible while still allowing for everyone to enjoy the wonders of space.

• Face coverings will be required at all times

• We are limiting to 30 persons simultaneously indoors

• You can now schedule your visit online by using our Schedule page

  • Priority admission will be given to online reservations

  • You may be asked to wait outside for a short time
